Right at the foot of the Cambie St. Bridge, the restaurant also simply known as Monks looks out across the water at Yaletown and the coastal mountains. The patio makes the perfect place to wile away a West Coast afternoon or evening.

The place is not easy to find if you plan to go there for the firs time but it will worth the drive. The parking lot is valet parking so do not park there if you plan not to use valet parking. We arrived there around 2 and we still needed to wait for 10 minutes to be able to have a seat in the patio. The view on the patio was great. Breeze of wind with sunshine made a relaxing afternoon.
Jane ordered Lobster Corn Dogs while I ordered 1lb of Clams or Mussels. The food took really long time to come up. We waited approximately 30 or more minutes before our dishes were served. Since on the menu, it said "small plate", it was really small plate but it's enough for both of us. The lobster corn dogs tasted great. My mussels tasted good with white wine sauce.
