My review
We headed over to this Thai restaurant for their all-you-can-eat (AYCE) Thai buffet which offers more than 20 different dishes. We called in first to make reservation but the person said they did not take reservation for the AYCE and told us it was very busy. We called around 5:15 and arrived around 5:30 and we were seated right away.
We were greeted "Sawasdee" warmly by the hostess. We were seated and presented with menu right after we seated. The menu was simple to understand but everyone should read the fine prints at the bottom left corner. Every time you were allow to order 5 different items at once but for each item, you can order reasonable number of them. For example I can order 5 skewer of chicken satay.
The food came quickly too. The couple seated beside us were loudly complained the food was cook and it was not up par the Thai house standard. The waitress had to bring the food back. I bet she just used microwave to heat it up. We did not complain but do not expect any HOT food. Well, the Tom Yang soup was hot but for other dishes they were warmish but definitely not cold. Each dish is small but enough for you to sample different food. The service was superb. Even when that couple were complaining, the waitress replied with smile. They often came and check to see if we needed any food.
Jane liked the Tom Yang soup and she said it was the best so far she had tried in Metro Vancouver. We ordered 5 bowls in total. The Jasmine rice did not have coconut in it or at least we cannot taste it. The pad thai was not bad and so were other dishes. The most surprising dish would be the yam woon seng. We had no idea what it was until the dish came. Jane recognized and liked it right the way. It was something when Jane used to eat in Malaysia but it was under different name.
The dessert smelled good but it actually the bad point of the night. It was a bit too salty to our taste. Jane confirmed that it was right to add salt but we thought add too much of it.
