One of our favorite place to go in North Vancouver. We went there several times already and I did not know there are places you can park for free during the weekend. In addition, the parking lot was closer than where I used to park.
The market is the connection between Sea Bus and North Vancouver Buses. It is very convenient even for people do not have cars to come here. This is the Sea Bus terminal. It usually takes 20 minutes from Downtown Vancouver to here.
During the Summer, they have Farmer Market just outside the Public Market itself. For me, Public Market itself is just a bigger version of the Farmer Market. I did not find anything that would catch my eye though.
Before we entered the market, we liked to take photos from the dock. You will get great view from there. If you stay long enough you would catch the sea bus towards the terminal.
The first floor of the market is mainly the market itself. They have seafood, fruit and foot courts. The fruit looks pretty fresh and delicious. The market was very clean comparing to Richmond Public market.
The second floor of the market consists different shops and restaurants. They have shops for kids, tourists and of course adults.
This is a must go place if you are en route to Capilano Suspension Bridge or Grouse Mountain and you like to take photos. It is not far from both places.
